The Nudge Card

At most one thing Home asks of you on any given day, with a one-tap way to do it and a dismiss that means not now.

Some days Home has something to say. A streak that ends at midnight, or a check-in that has just opened. When it does, a single card appears near the top of Home with the ask, one line of context, and a way to act on it.

There is never more than one, and on most days there is none at all.

Your Streak Ends at Midnight

If you have a live streak and the day is still unwritten, from mid-afternoon onwards Home says so: Your 5-day streak ends at midnight, with Write a journal entry today to keep the streak going. underneath.

Below that are two rows, each a one-tap way to keep it:

  • Freeform Journaling opens the journal sheet, ready for you to write.
  • Just Chat! starts a conversation with your guide, which becomes an entry when you save it.

Time for Your Check-ins

When a check-in is ready, the card names it rather than counting it. One ready check-in reads Time for your stress check-in with A few questions about the last two weeks. and a Check in button that opens it. Two or more read Time for your check-ins with Gratitude and Stress, about two minutes each. and a See check-ins button that takes you down to the list on Home.

Not Now

Every nudge has an in the corner, and it means not now rather than never. Dismissing a streak nudge quiets it for a day. Dismissing a check-in nudge quiets it for three, because a check-in that stays open for weeks does not need to ask every morning.

Tips

  • A streak nudge appears from mid-afternoon — early in the day there is still plenty of time to write.
  • Dismissing one can reveal another — the streak nudge outranks check-ins, so a dismissed streak card may hand the slot to a check-in that was waiting behind it.
