Onsen is built by Onsen AI Limited, a small company based in London with a big mission: making mental health support accessible to everyone.
Why we exist
Millions of people struggle with their mental health but can't access support — therapy is expensive, waitlists are long, and not everyone feels comfortable talking to a stranger.
We built Onsen to bridge that gap. An AI companion that truly listens, remembers your story, and helps you reflect, grow, and feel better — available 24/7, completely private, and free.
The company
Onsen AI Limited is registered in England and Wales (company number 15735784) and based in London. We're a small, unfunded team — currently bootstrapping and preparing for our first fundraise.
We launched in late 2024 and have grown to over 15,000 users organically, with no paid marketing. Every user found us through word of mouth, app store discovery, or social media.
We're focused on English-speaking markets — the UK, US, Canada, and Australia — with plans to expand globally.
